There are a few people who enter our lives and leave an indelible imprint–Tosca Lee is one of those for me. The obvious part is she’s beautiful. But there’s an incredible depth and intelligence in Tosca that forces me and others to admire her. I’ll never forget the night I won a Christy–she jumped up from her seat as I came off the stage and gave me a huge hug, celebrating with me.
She’s been an amazing help to me as I plow into a new series concept, lending me some wisdom on research, sharing scholars, and even brainstorming with me! Who knew a military suspense author and an author who has penned biblical novels–as well as supernatural ones (her series with Ted Dekker)–ccould team up! LOL
So, without further ado, I am offering a copy of Tosca’s latest masterpiece, The Legend of Sheba: Rise of a Queen! The story is compelling and the elegance of history and compulsion of power weave a rich tapestry in this novel of a queen, notorious for her beauty. (ENTER using the Rafflecopter widget at the bottom of this post!)
Her name is legend. Her story, the epic of nations. The Queen of Sheba. A powerful new novel of love, power, and the questions at the heart of existence by the author of the award-winning “brilliant” (Library Journal) and “masterful” (Publishers Weekly) Iscariot.
There is the story you know: A foreign queen, journeying north with a caravan of riches to pay tribute to a king favored by the One God. The tale of a queen conquered by a king and god both before returning to her own land laden with gifts.
That is the tale you were meant to believe.
Which means most of it is a lie.
The truth is far more than even the storytellers could conjure. The riches more priceless. The secrets more corrosive. The love and betrayal more passionate and devastating.
Across the Red Sea, the pillars of the great oval temple once bore my name: Bilqis, Daughter of the Moon. Here, to the west, the porticoes knew another: Makeda, Woman of Fire. To the Israelites, I was queen of the spice lands, which they called Sheba.
In the tenth century BC, the new Queen of Sheba has inherited her father’s throne and all its riches at great personal cost. Her realm stretches west across the Red Sea into land wealthy in gold, frankincense, and spices. But now new alliances to the North threaten the trade routes that are the lifeblood of her nation.
Solomon, the brash new king of Israel famous for his wealth and wisdom, will not be denied the tribute of the world—or of Sheba’s queen. With tensions ready to erupt within her own borders and the future of her nation at stake, the one woman who can match wits with Solomon undertakes the journey of a lifetime in a daring bid to test and win the king. But neither ruler has anticipated the clash of agendas, gods, and passion that threatens to ignite—and ruin—them both. An explosive retelling of the legendary king and queen and the nations that shaped history.

I have not read any of Tosca’s novels but this one has been on my TBR LIST 🙂
I have read Iscariot and the series she wrote with Ted Dekker. Iscariot is a book that I did not think I would like, but instead it has impacted my thinking about how Judas may have gotten to that point & how each of us through our decisions and reactions could easily slip down a similar path.
I have not read any of her books, but I ordered the Dekker books from the library.
Hoping I win! I will have all of her books! thanks for the chance.
oops! I think my favorite is havah! It really ministered to me in a time that I needed it!
I haven’t read any of Tosca’s books yet, very sad about that. I would love to read some of her work. I love the way authors work together and encourage each other. I can’t wait to see what you both come up with in the future.
God bless, Mary
I have read almost everything Tosca has written. The detail that she places into each work is amazing. She places you right into the story, as if you were there and viewing it all with your own eyes. I am a huge fan, and I can’t wait to see what she has done with the legend of the Queen of Sheba.
I downloaded the prequel to her newest but have not had time to read it yet. Am looking forward to reading these books! Thank you for sharing.
