DIGITALIS on NetGalley & Iced Mocha Flavor

Ronie Digitalis, NetGalley, Stephen Lawhead 4 Comments

DIGITALIS, Discarded Heroes #2, which releases this January is now available on NetGalley, a site designed for publishers to find reviewers they might not otherwise find. If you have a blog and can review/promote DIGITALIS, please take a moment to check out this site. I love NetGalley! In fact, I’ve gotten several books from publishers through that in order to review. What I love is that your only obligation is to post a review. You don’t have to commit to every book coming out of a publisher’s spring/summer/fall line-up, which means if you don’t like reading women’s fiction (just an example), they you don’t review women’s fiction. It’s all up to you. But if you don’t like digital copies, then …

Robert Liparulo endorses DIGITALIS

Ronie Barbour, Digitalis, Discarded Heroes, Robert Liparulo 4 Comments

Okay, I’m particularly excited to share this endorsement for DIGITALIS, Discarded Heroes #2, with you because it’s from…ROBERT LIPARULO. If you haven’t guessed by the frequent mentions of his writing by me on my blog, Facebook, and other social media sites, Robert Liparulo is one of my writing heroes. I’ve yet to read a book by him that I didn’t love and sail through. His stories are exactly what I love to read–and he “gets away” with a plot device that I have long wanted to include in my stories (and in fact, *did* include in Dead Reckoning but was asked during the content edit to remove): implanting a tool, weapon, or device that’s not “real” (yet!) but so close …

Ronie Barbour, Bob Hamer, Digitalis, Enemies Among us 3 Comments

Okay, I can’t resist posting this. If you’ve followed the blog, you know I reviewed Bob Hamer’s Enemies Among Us: A Novel. His style and voice are very unique and laden with the experience that comes from being a veteran FBI undercover agent. Bob and I have gotten to know each other a bit–and in fact, his wife read and posted a review of Dead Reckoning on Amazon. BLEW. MY. MIND! 😀 So as we were looking for suspense/thriller endorsers for DIGITALIS, I immediately thought of him and another as-yet-unnamed-person. Tonight, Bob emailed me with this blurb endorsement for DIGITALIS, which released January 2011. HUGE THANKS to Bob! You made my week! An action-packed thrill ride from start to finish…if …

First signing & Model Awareness

Ronie Christian Book Distributor, Digitalis, Katy Budget Books, Wolfsbane 1 Comment

This past weekend, Dr. Richard L. Mabry (author of Code Blue) and I had a signing at Katy Budget Books in Houston. It was the neatest bookstore with amazing staff. I had a wonderful time, although I’m not keen on driving 10 hours in one day again. LOL Right now, I’m working on Wolfsbane, Book #3 in the Discarded Heroes series. It’s coming along nicely–I’m already at roughly 36K. Soon, I’ll dig into the subplot of the book and get that hashed out. it’s been simmering in my noggin for a few days now. I’m also stirring up another series, but I’m not sharing that just yet. I’m really excited about it, but it’s been an adventure (to say the …
