Hi, I just finished the Nightshade series and I am hooked! I loved your characters they where real and 3 dimensional, but I loved Marshall he captured my heart like no other. His childlike demeanor made him stand out from the other hardened members of the team. His ability to see something as wrong yet necessary like the child that was holding a gun on Legend. Kid new that shooting a child was wrong but in this case necessary to save his teammate’s life, fortunately Marshall didn’t shoot the child but Cowboy did. Marshall had an ability to leave all the bad stuff behind and not take it onto himself. His heart remained soft and forgiving instead of becoming hardened like the others who carried all the stuff around with them. Love him and cried so hard when he was killed, wanting to make his team proud of him. Thank you so much I love your work.

What a great series! It broke my heart that Firethorn was the last one because I came to love all the characters so much. I also loved all the action! Wolfbane was the first book I read, not realizing that it was the third book in a series, and after that one I was hooked. It would be really nice if you would write stories with each of Canyon’s siblings. I loved that the family was so close. FYI…I crave more Discarded Heroes/Nightshade in case you change your mind about continuing the series. lol Thanks for the great read(s)….I’m currently working on reading Zulu, another good one.
