Does an Ancient Book of Prophecy Hold the Answers to Saving the World

. . . Or Predict Its Destruction?

YAAAASSSSSSSS!!! I am thrilled to bring you the launch of my new series, The Book of the Wars, starring Leif Metcalfe, little brother of much-beloved character, Canyon Metcalfe (Wolfsbane) of the Discarded Heroes series. I had a lot of fun with this series, which was borne out of reading my devotional one morning and stumbling across a verse in the book of Numbers that read: Wherefore it is said in the Book of the Wars of the Lord, “Waheb in Suphah and the wadis…””

I stopped dead in my tracks reading that and thought–What a great series title!! So I grabbed my phone and contacted my dear friend, Dr. Joseph Cathey (the real one, not the fictional one featured in The Tox Files) and asked him, “What is this? What can i do with it?” Amid chuckles, he told me it is a book currently lost to humanity so I could do whatever I liked with it. Then he added the explosive idea, “what if it’s not just a book that recorded wars as they happened but also contained wars that haven’t happened yet?”

And there you have it–the story behind how this series came to be, and much of my inspiration behind what unfolds in STORM RISING with a female assassin and Navy SEAL.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
Mentioned in the pages of the Septuagint but lost to history, the Book of the Wars has resurfaced, and its pages hold secrets–and dangers–never before seen on earth.

Tasked with capturing the ancient text, former Navy SEAL Leif Metcalfe is finally given command of his own team. But their best efforts are ruined when a notorious Bulgarian operative known as “Viorica” snatches the volume right out from under them.

Iskra “Viorica” Todorova is determined to use the book to secure the thing that matters most–freedom. But a series of strange storms erupts around the globe and the coming dangers foretold in the text threaten crops, lives–entire nations.

Though both are haunted by secrets of their past and neither trusts the other, Leif and Iskra must form an uneasy alliance to thwart impending disaster. However, the truth hidden in two-thousand-year-old words could unleash the storm of their own destruction.

I love your books, have read all except the Abiassa’s Fire series……
Just finished the Book of Wars. Will there be more to follow
to make a series? Or is this a stand alone?

I may have submitted this previously, but not sure if it went through.

I’ve read the Tox Files and am now on the third of the Book of the Wars series.

I keep wondering if I’ve forgotten or missed something regarding Leif’s Sahara Nine history as Storm Rising seems to suggest we should have some prior knowledge of his experience.

Are we missing that in the same way Leif is, and this is simply your way of pulling the reader in and holding us in suspense as the story unfolds or is revealed later on?
