Thank you, Julie! Yes–a brilliant orthopedic doctor diagnosed the sciatica yesterday. I am on anti-inflammatories, ordered for physical therapy, and sitting on a balance ball. Oy! LOL

BTW, my very first pet ever was a gerbil named Boo-Boo. He had a knot on the end of his tail from it being caught in a closing door. His greatest adventure (and my greatest scare) was the day he rode the laundry chute from the second floor to the basement because someone had left the little door for the chute open and it was in the floor.

I don’t have a favorite pet. I’ve been blessed with many, including two of the best dogs ever. The one who currently keeps me company is this loud, frustrating, wonderfull ball of personality. He talks incessantly and has no idea of when to shut up and he’s too smart for my own good. He’s scared of thunder and tries to curl all 45 of his pounds into my lap when it storms. But when he hears something unknown, he’s immediately at my side, barking and when we occasionally go to bed before the laundry is done, he insists on sleeping on the bed between me and the open doorway. It seems we take pretty good care of each other, even if we both could use a little more discipline. LOL!
I so loved Trinity and I very much look forward to reading Talon! Hoping you are well and back to 100% soon!

My pets are “twin” Shorkies, a brother/sister team of lap-doggy sweetness! My spine has experienced the un-pleasant-ness of 2 fractures due 2 to auto accidents where the other drivers failed to heed stop signs =/. The pain and stiffness are a daily thorn and it helps tremendously to move/stretch/walk, which is where my “twins” are very helpful. Have doggies, must walk!

My first pet was a little dog named Brownie. He was not housebroken, so he made messes everywhere. He was an adorable puppy, and I was afraid of him. My mother ended up giving him away. I also had a pet rabbit, a hamster, and finally a St. Bernard named George. He was very large, but thought that he was a puppy and constantly trying to sit on our laps. The kids in the neighborhood liked taking him for walks. They would hold on to his leash, use a piece of cardboard and go sidewalk skiing. Good times, good times.

My first pet was an Irish Setter named Mike. We were the same age and he was my bestest buddy until we were twelve, when we lost him to old age. Since then I’ve been blessed to have many great dogs and several horses who have touched my heart for keeps. 🙂
My first pet was a Boxer named Boatswain. When he was young he got out a few times and to catch him my mother had to get in the car and drive down the road jingling keys out the window and calling him since he loved car rides so much.

One of my favourite pets was a honey bear hamster,… I had the honour of having two special ‘little friends’ who were of the same breed, though a decade or so apart. One as a child, one as an adult. I thought it might be hard to have another little hammy, as I loved my first one dearly,… but truth be told, my second one truly inspired me! He was such a hearty veggiehead, he loved cold air, and his favourite hobby was of course travelling in his little ball! Despite their petite size, hamsters give you a heap of love in return, and I am forever grateful that two special little guys touched my life in such a positive way.
I too, can understand your pain in your back, as my Dad suffers with the same condition. He is getting help through a chiropractor and through an herbal pain medicine. I do hope you can find some relief too!

My favorite breed of dogs is quite a bit smaller in size than Talon, but not in heart. Dachshunds! I was 9 when I got my first one, a little black and tan named Patrick. Now nearly 50 years later it is still Dachshunds for me.

I got my first pet, a dog, when I was 10. Her name was Khaki and she was a Cock-a-poo-poo. She was the best dog I could have asked for. She just recently passed a few months ago at the age of 20! I feel blessed to have had her for that long 🙂
Hi Ronie ~ I am writing you form the high line of Montana. The first pet I remember was my grandparents cowdog Lucky, BUT my most memorable pet was my rottweiler and running partner, Gunter. I could not relocate my shoes or spell r, u, n without being committed to the idea. 😀 As a teacher who researches history – emphasis on military history, thank you for writing this series. (actually – thank you for sharing the writing style that you have!) Our men and women in uniform, and all their support personnel (dogs, families, etc) need all the recognition we can muster to help bring recognition to their needs.
