I’ve had a rough couple of days with hip/back pain, which was diagnosed as sciatica on Friday. So, I’m needing to cheer myself up–and giveaways always do that! Here’s your chance to win an EXCLUSIVE HARDCOVER AUTOGRAPHED copy of TALON! (U.S. Residents only) There are multiple ways to win, so have some fun!
Hi Ronie, The cover is amazing-but I think you already know that! 😉 My mom has degenerative disk disease and has back pain every day 🙁 so I can sympathize. I’ll be praying for you to heal and to be able to work through the pain in the mean time. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
Ronie I hope that your pain is eased quickly! It is always miserable when we don’t know what is causing the pain. I hope now that you have been diagnosed that there will be quick healing. BTW, I love the covers of all of your books!
Thank you, Julie! Yes–a brilliant orthopedic doctor diagnosed the sciatica yesterday. I am on anti-inflammatories, ordered for physical therapy, and sitting on a balance ball. Oy! LOL
Thank you–my publisher has done a fantastic job with my covers!
I’m sorry to hear about the sciatica, Ronie. That’s miserable. I pray the Lord touches it and relieves the pain as your body heals.
sorry to hear you’re having so much pain….I suffer from sciatica as well….stretch, stretch, stretch. I hope the coming week is better for you.
Ohhhh, my sympathies to you, too. LOL It’s fun in reverse, ya know? THANK YOU!
BTW, my very first pet ever was a gerbil named Boo-Boo. He had a knot on the end of his tail from it being caught in a closing door. His greatest adventure (and my greatest scare) was the day he rode the laundry chute from the second floor to the basement because someone had left the little door for the chute open and it was in the floor.
LOL! That’s hilarious! I hope Boo-Boo was okay after that “mini-coaster” ride. 😀
Love your cover! Back pain is the worst kind…it’s like a toothache of the spine.
Hi Ronie. So sorry to hear about your back and hip pain. Will be praying for you!
My husband loves your books
I don’t have a favorite pet. I’ve been blessed with many, including two of the best dogs ever. The one who currently keeps me company is this loud, frustrating, wonderfull ball of personality. He talks incessantly and has no idea of when to shut up and he’s too smart for my own good. He’s scared of thunder and tries to curl all 45 of his pounds into my lap when it storms. But when he hears something unknown, he’s immediately at my side, barking and when we occasionally go to bed before the laundry is done, he insists on sleeping on the bed between me and the open doorway. It seems we take pretty good care of each other, even if we both could use a little more discipline. LOL!
I so loved Trinity and I very much look forward to reading Talon! Hoping you are well and back to 100% soon!
Oh, your ball of wonder sounds awesome! LOL
My favorite pet was my kitty Duke.
Said a prayer for your pain. Thanks for offering this giveaway. Love the cover! Blessings!
Awww, thank you, Renee!
Thank you for offering a copy of Talon in this contest. I’ve heard wonderful reports about this book and the others in the series!
Love the cover! My first and favorite pet was Brandy. A saint Bernard. Sweet, gentle giant!
Ohhh, I’ve wanted a Saint Bernard since I was a kid!
My first pet was a Tonkinese cat named Cinnamon. She had a habit of climbing up my back to sit on my shoulders. No problem until she did it to my dad one time when he didn’t have a shirt on! OUCH!!
YIKES! yeah, not so fun when that happens. LOL
Sorry to hear about your sciatica but LOVE your attempt to cure it as well as your books.
I would LOVE to get an autographed copy of Talon. I hope your therapy works super fast. Thanks for all of your wonderful books that spotlight what ALL of our troops do for us. MWD rock!
Sorry to hear about your pain.I will be praying for some relief for you.
My favorite pets are our two dachshunds, Petey and Hershey. They are the comic relief in our house. We just love them!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I love your books and especially your salute to MWD’s. HOOAH !
Pray through it. It goes in cycles and will ease up again. God bless.
My pets are “twin” Shorkies, a brother/sister team of lap-doggy sweetness! My spine has experienced the un-pleasant-ness of 2 fractures due 2 to auto accidents where the other drivers failed to heed stop signs =/. The pain and stiffness are a daily thorn and it helps tremendously to move/stretch/walk, which is where my “twins” are very helpful. Have doggies, must walk!
I pray for complete restoration for you in Jesus’ name.
Looking forward to reading you new releases. Great job!
Peace and love, Ali
Would so love to win this book.
How important these dogs are to the lives of our warriors! I love the dogs-for-vets concept for therapy dogs to help PTSDD, too. I’d love to win!
I cannot wait to read Talon!!
Having dealt with sciatica off and on for about 15 years now, I feel your pain! Hope you feel better soon!! My first pet was a family dog named “Smoky”. He was definitely part of the family!
My first pet was around when I was born: Busso, the black barn cat 🙂
I’m sorry about your pain, will be praying for you.. My little furbaby just turned 13 on June 1st.. He still acts like a puppy some days 🙂 His name is Boo Boo and is part Lab and terrier and hates the water 🙂
My first animal was a golden retriever name Butch. Betsy
My first pet was a Pomeranian named Rusty. Thank you for this opportunity.
Pets I have 2 rat terriors, they are the sweetest things. 1 is a rescue dog. Also have a winie dog, we resuced. He goes to work with the hubby every day.
My first pet was a little dog named Brownie. He was not housebroken, so he made messes everywhere. He was an adorable puppy, and I was afraid of him. My mother ended up giving him away. I also had a pet rabbit, a hamster, and finally a St. Bernard named George. He was very large, but thought that he was a puppy and constantly trying to sit on our laps. The kids in the neighborhood liked taking him for walks. They would hold on to his leash, use a piece of cardboard and go sidewalk skiing. Good times, good times.
I’ll be praying for you. Loving the books that you write.
My first pet was an Irish Setter named Mike. We were the same age and he was my bestest buddy until we were twelve, when we lost him to old age. Since then I’ve been blessed to have many great dogs and several horses who have touched my heart for keeps. 🙂
My first pet was a Boxer named Boatswain. When he was young he got out a few times and to catch him my mother had to get in the car and drive down the road jingling keys out the window and calling him since he loved car rides so much.
do bugs count.I collected them.
Good evening, Ms. Kendig,
One of my favourite pets was a honey bear hamster,… I had the honour of having two special ‘little friends’ who were of the same breed, though a decade or so apart. One as a child, one as an adult. I thought it might be hard to have another little hammy, as I loved my first one dearly,… but truth be told, my second one truly inspired me! He was such a hearty veggiehead, he loved cold air, and his favourite hobby was of course travelling in his little ball! Despite their petite size, hamsters give you a heap of love in return, and I am forever grateful that two special little guys touched my life in such a positive way.
I too, can understand your pain in your back, as my Dad suffers with the same condition. He is getting help through a chiropractor and through an herbal pain medicine. I do hope you can find some relief too!
Thank you for offering such a lovely bookaway!
This looks like a great book! Dogs in service are special heroes.
My favorite breed of dogs is quite a bit smaller in size than Talon, but not in heart. Dachshunds! I was 9 when I got my first one, a little black and tan named Patrick. Now nearly 50 years later it is still Dachshunds for me.
I hope you feel better soon.
I got my first pet, a dog, when I was 10. Her name was Khaki and she was a Cock-a-poo-poo. She was the best dog I could have asked for. She just recently passed a few months ago at the age of 20! I feel blessed to have had her for that long 🙂
Hi Ronie ~ I am writing you form the high line of Montana. The first pet I remember was my grandparents cowdog Lucky, BUT my most memorable pet was my rottweiler and running partner, Gunter. I could not relocate my shoes or spell r, u, n without being committed to the idea. 😀 As a teacher who researches history – emphasis on military history, thank you for writing this series. (actually – thank you for sharing the writing style that you have!) Our men and women in uniform, and all their support personnel (dogs, families, etc) need all the recognition we can muster to help bring recognition to their needs.
Ronie, I hate that you are battling physical issues. Love the cover; but even more excited to have a real military hero on the new one. I have three rescued black labs… so they are my favorite pets:)
