Christmas at DisneyWorld

I’m a very traditional person. I like traditional decor. I like traditions–Christmas in a warm, loving home surrounded by family. But this year, my middle daughter is in the Disney College Program and couldn’t come home for Christmas. So, we decided to Christmas in Orlando. Phew! I tell you–I’ve been around enough people in those six days to fix me for life! LOL And we had adventure, too (more on that later, along with a rare-from-me not-so-PC commentary). Ultimately, the trip was exhausting but wonderful! I’m not anxious to repeat it, but I have no regrets!!

Creative Days

Well, thanks to my friend, Kristy Cambron, I’ve taken up verse-mapping, and thanks to many many creativists, I’ve started Bible Journaling. Here’s my newest picture from this Sunday’s message at Cornerstone Chapel.   Do you do Bible Journaling? I admit, it takes me a while to make these, but that’s a good thing–it helps me slow down, think about what our pastor or the Word is speaking to me. Our word is rush-rush-rush, so slowing down and contemplating is a good thing. 😀

Happy 4th of July!!!

There’s a lot happening in our country that has our great nation in turmoil, our people divided, but on this day–we are united! This is our country! Fought for and paid with the blood of patriots. First–I want to share this video of Madison Rising‘s amazing rendition of The Star Spangled Banner. I normally don’t like “artsy” version of our national anthem, but I ADORE this one. They “get” what it’s about. The song leaves me pumped up! Before I leave you to your barbecues and fireworks…two things: 1.) REMEMBER OUR COMBAT VETERANS when you do you fireworks. If you have a neighbor who has served, please talk to them. In the least, prepare them for your fireworks so they …

New Suspense Contract!!

Ronie Bethany House Publishers, fiction, Inspirational, James Rubart, Tosca Lee 16 Comments

After doing the cover reveal for EMBERS, I’ve been asked a lot lately if I’ll be shifting my focus entirely to speculative novels. Hopefully with my website redesign you can tell that’s not the case. In fact, I can finally share some great news with you! In January, I signed a 3-book, 1-novella contract with Bethany House Publishers. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Dave Long, who championed this series through all the boards and believed in me and this series. It’s an honor to become a BHP author (total geek-out moment here). WOW! THE TOX FILES This new series, THE TOX FILES, is a paramilitary adventure with  lead hero, Cole “Tox” Russell. It’s sort of Indiana Jones meets Jason Bourne …
