Dark Pursuit by Brandilyn Collins (Zondervan) is a thrilling read! I’ve read other books by Brandilyn, but this is the first book that all but took my breath away. At one point, I even ran into the living room, rattled off the plot to my husband, then darted back to the bedroom to curl up and finish the book. One appeal of this book is the short, clipped chapters. I’ve seen this style by authors like James Patterson and Brandt Dobson. I think Brandilyn has mastered the clipped, thrilling chapters.
