When I signed the contract for this series in late 2011, I never imagined time would fly so fast. I’ve just completed the line edits on BEOWULF: EXPLOSIVES DETECTION DOG (coming early 2014), and now…I am tickled to share the cover for this beastly book! Wolfsbane – 4 stars from Romantic Times

Ronie Barbour, Chandra McNeil, Romantic Times, Wolfsbane Leave a Comment

WOLFSBANE by Ronie Kendig Genre: Romantic Suspense, Inspirational RT Rating The author’s military background shines through in vivid detail, but the rugged first names (Canyon, Stone, Range) are distracting at first. Then Kendig pulls out all the stops with page-turning action, adventure and danger. Book three in the Discarded Heroes series can pretty much stand alone. Having escaped a brutal Venezuelan general, demolitions expert Danielle Roark fights her way back to the States, only to be charged with espionage. When she’s forced to return to the jungle to prove her innocence, she is intentionally left behind. What secret does she have that’s worth fighting for? Haunted, former Green Beret Canyon Metcalf is fighting off nightmares of an operation gone bad. …

Wolfsbane Trailer

Ronie Barbour, Rick Acker, Robin Caroll, Trailer to the Stars, Wolfsbane 1 Comment

This is one of my all-time favorite parts of the writing process–the trailer. It’s so amazing to see a book brought to life through media like this. It’s also hard to believe that Wolfsbane releases in a mere two months! WOW!! Time sure does fly when you’re having fun, eh? While I have you here, I thought I’d share some more endorsements that have come in for Wolfsbane. Here they are: Ronie Kendig serves up a mix of machinegun-fast action, touching romance, and more twists than a coil of detonator wire. Get a good grip on the edge of your seat before you start reading! —Rick Acker, author of When the Devil Whistles and Dead Man’s Rule Wolfsbane is a …

Meet Griffin

Ronie Barbour, Firethorn Discarded Heroes #4 6 Comments

So, I thought that before I do the reveal on Firethorn’s cover, I’d “introduce” you to the model Mullerhaus used for Griffin. I am really happy with this guy; he really fits the persona/character of Griffin “Legend” Riddell. Another interesting thing is that the sister-in-law of this model contacted me a while back–she’s a homeschooling mom as well. She also has a writing blog for her homeschoolers and wanted to interview me. That really was one of the coolest emails I have ever received! What do you think? Does he fit what you imagined as Griffin? He’s perfect to me! And be sure to stay in touch–I’ll be doing a giveaway when I debut the cover for Firethorn!!

Okay, I am really tickled to share the first endorsements with you for Wolfsbane, Discarded Heroes #3, which releases July 1st. Yes, that’s four months away. Can you stand it? The first endorsement came from Dineen Miller, author of Winning Him Without Words and The Soul Saver (Barbour, 2012): Steeped in conflict and characters searching for redemption, Ronie Kendig writes her best story yet. Intense action, integrity, honor, sacrifice—these are the attributes displayed richly in Wolfsbane. Even after the last page, Dani and Canyon continue to live my heart. —Dineen Miller, author of Winning Him Without Words: 10 Keys to Thriving in Your Spiritually Mismatched Marriage and The Soul Saver The second one is from the amazing LYNETTE EASON (you …

Robert Liparulo endorses DIGITALIS

Ronie Barbour, Digitalis, Discarded Heroes, Robert Liparulo 4 Comments

Okay, I’m particularly excited to share this endorsement for DIGITALIS, Discarded Heroes #2, with you because it’s from…ROBERT LIPARULO. If you haven’t guessed by the frequent mentions of his writing by me on my blog, Facebook, and other social media sites, Robert Liparulo is one of my writing heroes. I’ve yet to read a book by him that I didn’t love and sail through. His stories are exactly what I love to read–and he “gets away” with a plot device that I have long wanted to include in my stories (and in fact, *did* include in Dead Reckoning but was asked during the content edit to remove): implanting a tool, weapon, or device that’s not “real” (yet!) but so close …

WOLFSBANE cover revealed!

Ronie Barbour, Discarded Heroes, Wolfsbane 5 Comments

I am thrilled to share the WOLFSBANE cover with you. Barbour and I went back and forth on many things on the cover, and I so appreciate their willingness to do their best to “get it right.” Here is the blurb from the proposal for this story that is very near & dear to my heart: Wolfsbane – July 2011 – Former Green Beret Captain Canyon Metcalfe is unnerved when Nightshade is sent to a South American jungle that holds an eerie similarity to a dark tragedy from his past. Addicted to painkillers, Canyon struggles to hide his secret. Escorting Danielle Roark, a demolitions expert who knows the location of a secret nuclear weapons silo, proves treacherous when they’re ambushed …
